We’re both Texas natives, and we met during our senior year at Texas A&M, in a marketing class where we each went on to graduate. What started as a shared interest in branding, creativity, and storytelling quickly turned into something more.
In 2015, we got engaged while traveling through Wales, at the ruins of Tintern Abbey — a moment that reflected our love for travel, meaningful places, and seeing the world from a unique perspective.
After college, we moved to Austin and built our careers working at advertising agencies across Texas. Patrick worked as a Creative Director, focused on design, video, and visual storytelling, while Savanna worked as an Account Executive, managing client relationships, timelines, and logistics. That agency background shaped how we approach every project — with clear communication, organization, and an understanding of how visuals are actually used.
In 2016, during a trip to Italy — exploring Tuscany and Cinque Terre — Patrick bought his first drone. That trip sparked a passion for flying and capturing cinematic visuals from above. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into something bigger, and Volare was born.
Volare is an Italian word meaning “to fly.” It captured not only the medium we fell in love with, but also the idea behind our work — helping elevate our clients’ projects by offering a higher perspective and thoughtful visual storytelling.
Today, Volare is a husband-and-wife–run business based in Austin, Texas. Patrick leads all creative direction, filming, and editing, while Savanna manages client communication, scheduling, and project coordination. When you reach out, you’re talking directly to one of us — not a coordinator or a corporate middle layer.
Outside of work, we love living in Austin for its great coffee, espresso bars, breakfast tacos, and time spent exploring the city with our cavapoo, Juniper, who brings plenty of energy to our days.
At the heart of Volare is a simple goal: to be easy to work with, highly responsive, and deliver visuals we’re genuinely proud of. We care deeply about the experience our clients have, from the first conversation through final delivery, and we strive to create work that not only looks great — but helps our clients succeed.

We believe great work comes from consistency, communication, and care — not volume or shortcuts.
Volare Videography is a small, owner-operated, local business, not a large national company or a marketplace that assigns random operators to each job. When you work with us, you’re working directly with the people who plan, shoot, and deliver your project — ensuring clear communication and consistent quality every time.
Because we’re based in Austin and Central Texas, we know the region, locations, light, and logistics well. That local knowledge and years of experience helps us plan efficiently and capture visuals that feel intentional and authentic to the area.
We bring both creative vision and professional discipline to every project. High-quality drone work isn’t just about flying — it requires technical expertise, safety awareness, regulatory compliance, and thoughtful composition. Our background in advertising and visual storytelling ensures the final result is not only technically sound, but visually compelling.
While some companies subcontract to random drone pilots on a per-job basis — leading to inconsistent results and indirect communication — we handle every project ourselves. That hands-on approach allows us to give each client the attention they deserve and deliver work we’re proud to stand behind.
